Harmonic IP is a new patent services company that specializes in patent drafting and prosecution, particularly in chemistry and materials science technologies. Our patent attorneys and agents have decades of combined R&D experience at some of the largest and most innovative US companies. We leverage our technology backgrounds to work closely with scientists and innovators to understand their business needs and create strong, durable intellectual property.
Meet our Team
Lucas Koziol is a patent attorney. He holds a PhD in physical chemistry from the University of Southern California. He is a co-author of over 25 peer-reviewed scientific publications and an inventor on four patents.
During his postdoc, he performed research in high-throughput pharmaceutical drug design. He also spent six years as a research chemist at a major energy company. After working at two large IP law firms, Dr. Koziol founded Harmonic IP to bring quality, personalized IP services to clients at a reasonable cost.
Dr. Koziol has experience drafting and prosecuting patents in various technological industries including oil-and-gas, chemicals, direct air capture, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, nutraceuticals, and cosmetics.
As an experienced scientific programmer, he also has experience working at the intersection of hard tech and AI.
Dr. Koziol is registered in the US Patent & Trademark Office and admitted to practice law in the state of New York.
Imtiaz Billah is a patent agent and holds an MS in organic chemistry from the University of Chicago, and an MA in inorganic chemistry from John Hopkins University.
Mr. Billah has worked at IBM and Impossible Foods and is experienced in drafting and prosecuting patents in software, semiconductor, and food and drug industries.
Mr. Billah is registered in the US Patent & Trademark Office.
