Lucas Koziol, PhD
Patent Attorney
Dr. Koziol holds a PhD in physical chemistry from the University of Southern California. While completing his PhD, he worked at a biotechnology startup company developing synthetic block polypeptides for medical applications. While a postdoc at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, he worked with a pharmaceutical company to perform high-throughput drug design. Following his postdoc, Dr. Koziol spent six years in technical research at ExxonMobil. He is an author of over 25 peer-reviewed scientific papers.

As an attorney, he has broad experience in pharmaceutical, petrochemical, engineering and AI, food and cosmetics, and mechanical technology areas. He is also experienced drafting and negotiating IP licenses, ranging from chemicals production and sales to SaaS agreements.
Imtiaz Billah, MS
Patent Agent
Mr. Billah holds a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry at the University of Chicago, and a Master of Arts in Inorganic Chemistry at Johns Hopkins University.
Following his academic career, Mr. Billah spent three years as a patent engineer at IBM, drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the fields of software, semiconductor devices, and materials.
He brings his broad IP experience in diverse technologies, with over a decade of experience working with chemicals, the food industry, semiconductors, and mechanical instrumentation, to help his clients develop strong IP positions to meet their business goals.
